THE MUSIC PROJECT COMPANY
The Music Project Company (M.P.C.) was born out of respect & admiration for artists in the music industry as well as the necessity for a lesion that could facilitate the growth of quality music entertainment opportunities in our communities. Artists we represent are all available for bookings of many sorts. Acoustic Happy Hours, full nights of entertainment, house parties, weddings & special occasions, at music venues of all types. Booking fees and entertainment services are on a ' by event' bases. The average fee is 10%. Artists set their own prices for their talent services. 25% of all project income is donated to the 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization Concerts With Causes. M.P.C serves as the liaison. We work closely with all parties to provide the best of the best to benefit all involved.
Our company is referred to as music project company because we specialize in collaboration projects in the community offering talent booking, artist development services, event planning, local public access TV production. event planning and fundraising.
Many years ago, a music industry mentor of Lisa Catherine, M.P.C. Owner/Executive Producer, discussed the drastic changes she had seen in the music industry which was creating turmoil and difficulty for artists to focus on their craft while having to attend to the business, marketing and development of their music. Since then Lisa has been working very closely with hundreds of musicians who have shared this very sentiment.
In 2011, after founding Concerts With Causes, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, she completed courses to became certified to work as an artist developer. Lisa felt that she could now add more value to the relationships being created with the wonderful work of the nonprofit. Working with an artist, she identifies goals and helps develop a plan to work on areas that need development i.e. branding, social media, recordings, performance professionalism and bookings. This enables artists passionate about their music to focus on their craft. With her guidance, they are able to gain confidence & resources to achieve their individual performance goals.
Along with event planning for the nonprofit, Lisa produces the public access TV show 'Music With Purpose' based at WPAA in Wallingford, CT. The show features both successful and up and coming artists and created a another opportunity to build relationships with musicians which painted a picture of a need that became apparent she could be helpful in filling. The TV show offers free community access to music entertainment of all kinds and experience & exposure for new artists.
Networking with industry professionals including music education, photography, recording studios, local radio stations and music venues for bookings all are a regular part of what artists receive when working with M.P.C.
This ideal has beautifully dovetailed with the creation of an income stream for Concerts With Causes, Inc., a 501(C)3 organization making a difference with music. 25% of all service fees are donated to the nonprofit. Each artist and act is chosen for their exceptional talent, professionalism, passion for providing outstanding entertainment and the willingness to partner with a give back ideal company.
